Last November, a puzzle was really bothering me. Some queries from an application were timing out frequently after running for 30 seconds, but they were halfway invisible in the SQL Server.
During a discussion of troubleshooting query timeouts in Azure SQL Database recently, I wondered: can you find queries that timed out in Query Store?
You can.
SQLPass unfortunately can’t last forever, but happily it’s still going strong. Here’s some highlights from my Day #2.
